I've seen that face before. It says: "I think I can sneak one out".

There’s an older lady that occasionally stops by our meet and greets for the greyhound rescue that might be 5ft tall and about 100lbs. She asked the rescue to get her the biggest greyhound they could find, and they succeeded.
They found her one that was 95lbs while at his racing weight, and he is a giant. His shoulders are above my hips when he stands, and I’m 6-4.

Yowza.
One nice thing about greyhounds: despite their size, I assume they have to be a bit lighter than your average big breed. I’d love a Newf, but I worry about how to manage/ care for/transport one when it’s old or sick.

Yes...but the the face says...”You heard nothing...and that wonderful odour had nothing to do with it”.
I know that face.

They are much lighter than other dogs of the same size. At bath time I have to pick Ruby up and carry her to the tub so I’m glad for that. The funny part is she actually likes being carried, and it just looks ridiculous when I’m carrying this big dog and her tail is just wagging away.

I envision Ruby as trying to blame her massive stench clouds on the cats.

While Kobe might be smaller than a greyhound, he is freakishly large for a whippet, which does come in handy for bullying Turk into submission. Good morning.

Is Turkey the one on the right in your picture? His head looks a little bigger in that shot. Is turkey not his actual name? I’ve noticed you put it in quotation marks.

Kobe is the juggernaut on the right and “Turkey” is in the left. That is a nickname because the breeder who originally was going to use him as a show dog decided to name him Majestic Turq uo ise. His more common unofficial name is Turk but I think “Turkey” is more appropriate given how silly he is.
Thanks for asking. Turquoise, meet Ruby. They're real gems.

I can definitely relate to changing silly names. Ruby raced under the name Loco’s Stevie and Cornbread was AMF Protagonist. Both their current names are courtesy of their after track fosters. I doubt I would’ve chosen Cornbread, but he’s a goofy klutz so a silly name fits.

Cornbread is actually a perfect name for a silly dog. AMF Protagonist is just strange.
Turkey’s breeder actually combined the names of the husband and wife that raised him into an unbearably stupid name to come before Majestic Turquoise . And Kobe was Slam Dunk, hence his nickname being Kobe after the late Bryant. We actually found out about Kobe’s cancer days before that fatal helicopter crash, which was eerily foreshadowing.
